Emotional Color

Sample from "Design Drawing & Color Theory" Spring 2009.

A marker drawing using an "emotional" color palette. Using Nature as a theme, I started with green, then added blue, brown, and yellow as needed.

I find that with markers my tendency to scribble like mad becomes even more pronounced. Which is not a bad thing in itself - I've just got to learn to make it work for the image.

I used a reference picture from here on dA - sorry to say, but I can't find the darned thing to save my life. If you happen to know who owns the original, drop me a note!
